ABS plastic cone tip for retrofitting 3” SCH40 inspection port pipes to gravel drain field or leach field trenches and beds for septic and storm water applications.
This cone tip typically works well when gravel/stone pieces are 3/4″ to 1-3/4″ in diameter but will also depend on other factors such as the type of stone, angularity, roughness, density, etc. If a significant proportion of the gravel pieces are larger than 1-3/4″, it may be difficult to advance the cone. Refer to the video below which shows how this cone tip can be used to retrofit an inspection port to an existing gravel septic drain field trench or bed.
